RATES
Square Inch Price
I charge 2 cents per square inch for all edge to edge designs.
Example: A quilt top is 60 inches x 80 inches. 60 x 80 = 4800 x .02 = $96.

My minimum quilting charge is $40. This means that a small quilt or table runner's square inch price will be rounded up to the $40 minimum. This accounts for the loading of the quilting machine.
Batting
I use and stock Hobbs Heirloom Bleached batting in the 80/20 cotton/poly blend and Hobbs Polydown which is 100% poly.

Batting is a separate charge and is NOT included in the square inch price.
I charge for batting by the linear inch from rolls of batting except in the case of special orders. I will use only what is needed for your quilt (smallest side + a 5" margin) and charge per inch.
For example, if you have a 60" x 80" quilt, I would cut 65" of the batting of your choice.
65" of 80/20 cotton/poly blend @ $0.37/in = $24.05
65" of 100% poly @ $0.31/in = $20.14
Quilting Design
The designs that are listed on my design page are but a sampling of the possibilities. If you have a very specific design in mind and I don't own that design, I'm happy to split the cost with you to buy it for your project. I am also happy to help by suggesting a few designs.​
Thread
I stock a couple of different threads including So Fine (#50 weight) and Superior Omni (#40 weight). I don't charge an extra fee for thread use, it's included in your square inch price.
My personal style attempts to match or blend thread color with the lighter areas of your quilt. But this is YOUR quilt! Let me know if you have a preference on thread color.
Photography
Upon completion of the quilting, I will take photos of your quilt in my studio and then text/email you those images to use however you would like. I'd just ask that you credit me for the photo and/or quilting if posting publicly.
Other Costs
As mentioned above, batting is not included in the square inch price. I'm required by the State of Illinois to collect a 7.25% sales tax on the batting. At this time the State of Illinois does not require sales tax on the quilting service or any design/pantograph fees.
